Limited edition. 3-1/2 inches tall. The Walt Disney Company Collection. Bottom of base is stamped "(c) The Walt Disney Company" and incised with the limited edition number: xxxx. Side of base is incised "(c) The Walt Disney Company". Anri medal disk trademark (used from 1982-1988) is present on bottom of base as a mark of origin and genuinity. Made in Italy.
Each single item is hand carved according to the artist’s master piece. The carver requires up to 20 cutting irons in many different sizes and forms to facilitate the production of a figure. The soft lime wood is particularly suitable for carving and allows each figure its own special character. As a result, a truly unique piece is created.
All items are hand painted. Trained painters use water colors and the finest brushes, as they allow the wood grain to remain visible. A specific follow-up treatment lends these figures the originality of a genuine and antique woodcarving.

All large size and older small size figurines were produced with rectangular base. Small size was restyled in the early 1960’s and changed to an oval base. The objects protruding from the cone represent candy and sweets rather than flowers. The cone appears empty on the large size models. In 1979, size 52/1 was listed as “Temporarily Withdrawn” (TW) from production on 31 December 1984 but could possibly be reinstated at some future date. On most of the older figurines, the girl with the basket has a pink colored petticoat painted under her dress. The other girl has only a blue hemline showing. Newer models in trademarks 4, 5, 6, and 7 do not have this area painted.
